Feel good about the work you do. Success cannot be achieved without the support from our communities. It’s essential, as a company, that we give back as much as we receive, which is why we are proud to offer support to local businesses and organizations. Here are just a few of the organizations we support;
The Make A Wish Foundation Activity Book – We know hospital appointments/stays are extremely scary as a child. Which is why the Make A Wish Foundation Activity Book is a hospital essential. Every Child and family in hospital care receives an activity book, while other copies are sold to the public with proceeds going to the Foundation.
Police, Fire and Veteran Association Magazines – Supporting our local police, fire and veteran associations is a community essential. They are the front-line officers that serve and protect our communities. Proceeds from these magazines support the police and fire associations along with providing financial support to our local veterans. The women’s fire association magazine strives for equality to recruit more female fire fighters.
Sunset Speedway Kids Autism Race – For any parent raising a child on the spectrum, concerns about their child’s future weighs heavy everyday. That is why unity, support and awareness is essential. We are proud to be a main sponsor in the Sunset Speedways Kid’s Autism Race, held in Barrie Ontario every year. It generates awareness and support for The Canadian National Autism Foundation.
Epilepsy Simcoe County – Every year 15,500 people learn they have epilepsy. 1% of children will have recurrent seizures before the age of 14. These harsh statistics are why we are proud to have our furniture used to help the volunteer organization to safely council their clients.
Owen Sound Safe & Sound – A lot of people take for granted the fact that they have a warm bed to sleep in, when, according to a recent study, approximately 12,000 people experience homeless in Ontario. We are measured by how we treat others, which is why we are proud to provide beds to those in need through the Owen Sound Safe and Sound emergency safe shelter.
Nanny Angel Network – It is estimated that 1 in 2 Canadians will develop Cancer in their lifetime. 1 in 4 will die from the disease. This awful disease has impacted all of our lives, which is why we are proud supporters of the Nanny Angel Network. The Nanny Angel Network provides Free specialized in-home childcare to mothers battling cancer.
Homeless Squad – Social Service workers in Saint John, NB worked to quickly move 17 homeless people into furnished subsidized housing. A local landlord Gordon Ferris provided 15 apartments. We were very thankful that we had the opportunity to provide the 15 units with sofas, bed and mattresses. Ultimate Movers helped move the furniture into the apartments.
We are very fortunate to be able to work within our communities and the people in them to make a change.
