Every customer is greeted with a hearty and heartfelt “welcome in”, and you really feel like they are glad to see you. They immediately step out to help you. What furniture needs do you have? Are you looking for a sofa? A mattress? With a smile they lead you through the store and you are engulfed in an upbeat atmosphere! The music is playing, customers and associates are milling about trying out furniture and engaged in chats. There is a lot of laughter and a lot of smiles. It doesn’t take long to realize why everyone in the store is so happy. In addition to the friendly staff, good tunes and fashionable furniture, the prices are FANTASTIC! You really do have to do a double take just to be sure your eyes are not deceiving you. The furniture is all quality brand name but so inexpensive. Literally a fraction of the price of the competition! Don’t have the money today but really need that new sofa? No worries! They have great financing options available. Is that new pocket coil mattress with a gel infused pillow top more on your want list than your need list! No problem again! They have a five star layaway program. Take as long as you need to pay off your chosen furniture, don’t incur any financing fees or storage fees, pay what you want every two weeks, and feel no buyer’s remorse for spending money you really didn’t have budgeted to spend that day! At the end of the shopping experience, you walk out knowing you have just dealt with the best. The staff are knowledgeable and great to deal with. The service is first class all the way and the entire shopping experience is smooth and painless. While one associate entertains two small children by engaging them in a very lively rendition of ‘Old McDonald’ while the parents choose their livingroom package in peace, you can see another link arms with an older gentlemen to help him out the door. YOU are almost giddy with the fact that you just furnished a bedroom, livingroom and dining room for 25% less that you ever dreamed you could AND you get to pay it off slowly on a layaway plan! As you drive out of the parking lot, Layaway Larry waves good bye and you feel a fondness for the Surplus family that has served you so well.
