COVID-19 GUIDELINES

To Our Valued Customers

As the situation around the second wave COVID-19 continues to evolve, we wanted to provide an update on how Surplus Furniture & Mattress Warehouse is responding to support our customers. We want to assure everyone that the health and wellbeing of our customers is our highest priority. We are being diligent and proactive in our measures at all our stores across Canada, to help limit the spread of the virus. We are following the guidelines provided by the Public Health Agency of Canada and we are continuing to assess the situation daily. Our emphasis is to be diligent with practices to ensure the health and safety of all our customers, while also ensuring we can continue to deliver the highest service to our customers.

Surplus Furniture stores remain open for business, unless mandated otherwise by the individual Provinces (check our website for hours and local information). We continue to serve our customers in-store, through online purchases, as well as curbside pick-up and contactless delivery. We will continue to do our part to limit the spread of the virus and want you to feel at ease during any visit to one of our stores and/or while receiving a delivery through one of our 3rd Party Delivery Services. We continue to follow measures (such as):

At Store Level

Wearing Masks
We will be wearing masks to protect our customers and each other as required by the Public Health Agency of Canada.

Intensified Cleaning
Our stores are being cleaned and sanitized regularly as a normal course of business. However, we have increased the frequency and intensity of those cleanings to ensure our spaces are as safe as possible.

Regular Hand Washing
We continue to emphasize good hygiene at our stores with ongoing communications to our employees about the importance of frequent hand washing and the cleaning of work surfaces.

Social Distancing
We continue to ensure that social distancing is a priority in all our locations and are following the necessary protocols. This approach has not changed as we value every customer that walks in our stores.

Employees in our Stores
If any one of our employees is feeling ill (for any reason), they will be asked to stay home until they are feeling well again. As well, we will follow all testing and self-isolation protocol implemented by the Public Health Agency of Canada when needed or should the situations arise.

During Customer Deliveries

Delivery Companies
We have implemented protocols to ensure the health and safety of all our customers while a customer delivery is taking place. This will include proper safety measures with the drivers before, during and after the delivery occurs both with the drivers and their equipment and truck. Also, any personal items used by the delivery company to aid in ensuring a clean and sanitary delivery will be discarded after every delivery.

As things are changing regularly, we will adapt our business accordingly. Rest assured; we will do everything possible to ensure the safety of our customers during these times.

We urge everyone to take the appropriate measures to stay safe. We are including a link to the government resource/fact sheets that will hopefully assist anyone who may have questions regarding COVID-19 and how to reduce the spread of the virus.
